Neuschwanstein Castle – the silent way

Last week, we met with some friends at the river Isar in Munich for a small BBQ and chillout and decided to go hiking the next day. The hiking trip was going to Neuschwanstein. But we did not take the regular tourist route with hundreds of people. Instead, we were taking a trip over the Tegelberg mountain lodge and arriving at the great castle from the other side – this gave us a rather silent approach with little people, great heights and amazing views of the castle. Here are some moving impressions (tacky music included!):

Unfortunately, no video camera was allowed within the castle. Nevertheless, it was a great trip, that we finished over the famous „Pöllat“ gorge with some amazing waterfalls. Somehow, I was lucky that the clouds were so low in the morning. On the one hand, it let the castle appear like floating somewhere above the clouds while watching it from far. On the other hand, some of the newbees on one of my tours were not completely shocked where I would force them up right now.

Thanks to everybody who participated. All did a great job and, while the tour document was still planed meticulous, all of you have still been on time on every single check-point I decided. Well done, everybody and looking forward to the next trip!
